fast88pu 3,327 #1 Posted April 5, 2015 I have an ARK 510 loader on my GT 14 and would like to replace the bucket. Does anyone know if any of the other brands buckets would line up and fit ? Or has anyone had to relpace their bucket ? Thank you
Theroundhousernr 590 #2 Posted April 5, 2015 I would imagine the best option and maybe most cost effective is make one. If you dont have the tools to do so, you could have yours repaired also by someone in the welding field. Buckets from larger loaders will be to heavy for your tractor and finding just a bucket could be very tough from any brand loader. Why does yours need to be replaced? fast88pu 3,327 #3 Posted April 5, 2015 It is starting to get rusted through in areas. Wanted to keep the bucket original instead of welding to it. I was gonna repair it. I just didn't know if another 48" bucket would line up.
Theroundhousernr 590 #4 Posted April 5, 2015 I meant replacing whole panels and not just welding patches over holes. If done right, it would be a proper restore.
fast88pu 3,327 #5 Posted April 5, 2015 That's a good idea. I will have to find some steel sheets and someone to bend it up for me
MalMac 1,332 #6 Posted April 6, 2015 Like said since that bucket is of a panel design you need to find a fabricating welding shop that can cut and weld. Plus if you need a total bucket the shop is going to need a break press for bending the top, back and bottom. If the back of your bucket is good they may be able to just cut the bottom and top off and re-weld panels back in place. My Ark 550 bucket is in need of this type of repair. I am sure with the cost of steel and labor it will not be a cheap affair.
