Electric Fuel pump another "Senior moment"

Been working on my 418A putting on a foot control and and also adding an electric fuel pump as she cranks for ever if she has been sitting for awhile. Got it all plumbed up and ran a wire up to the ignition switch ready to tap into the coil wire (I).  Long pause .... Magnums 18s have Magneto ingition.. . Guess I will have to settle for accessory.  Acc is not hot while cranking but if you pause for a couple of seconds in the run position should have enough fuel to fire while cranking..

 

The senior moments are coming faster and faster esterday was helping a young friend change the power steering filter on his Case 530CK Backhoe.  Clever design feature you have to pull the distributor to change the filter got it all back together ...no start...I forgot to hook the coil wire back up to the distributor

Have you two been in my shop looking over my shoulder without my knowledge. How senior are you youngsters anyway?
