wh500special 2,055 #3 Posted November 2, 2008 I guess to add to this, the general nomenclature format for the C-series "Style" tractors was as follows: 1973 - "No Name". Designated by a HP and trans. (e.g. 14-Auto, 16-8speed, etc) 1974-1977 = C-1X0 1978-1979 = C-1X1 (look about the same as prior models except the C-161TWIN which was a black striper) 1980-1984 = C-1X5 (black stripes) 1985 - end = 300/400/500 Steve

C-Series14 15 #6 Posted November 2, 2008 Yea, it's a USAF cargo aircraft, first built in 1961 and retired to the bone yard in 2006.Also, one is sitting at the AF Museum, tail number 177. I worked on them. Sorry, just had to do it! Really though, I have a 1979 C-141 and has been my regular mowing tractor for many years and all I have done is put oil and gas in it... :banghead:
