Can anybody help right now?

Trying to get this off. I am transferring a hitch system to one with nothing. This is the bar that the chain lift is attached to under the seat pan. If I can get this off I am golden I think.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Pull off the gas tank and remove 2 clips. Easy. Don't forget the bushings the rock shaft pivots in.

Not necessary to pull the fuel tank. Just pop off BOTH of the inside edge 'E' clips and wiggle the entire rockshaft out of the bracket, then pop out the bushings on each side.

There is an E clip like this on each side. Take them both out...completely. The rockshaft will slide enough, one way or the other, for it to drop out. You don't really need to spring the fuel tank bracket apart...nor take the seat off. Having the seat pan off MAY make it easier to see what is goin' on.

You don't have to take the gas tank off to remove, but I will say it makes it much easier...especially if you don't have some to help pry the seat support apart.
