Pulley sizes... quick question

Recommended Posts

I've a Magnum M16S on my latest project which came from a Toro Reelmaster mower. I bought a standard 4" pulley from another Wheel Horse on that auction site.

When I came to attach it - the crankshaft is 1" diameter and the pulley is 1-1/8"  Do I have a rogue engine or Pulley? :D

Kohler used different crankshafts based on the customers requirements.  Look for a pulley from an 8hp Wheel Horse they had 1" bores.  you will also need the sleeve from it if you are planning on having a manual PTO.

Just find a sleeve adapter to increase the shaft size from 1" to 1-1/8". They are on eBay all the time.

I think the horizontal shaft B&S engines also used 1" cranks.
