Electric Fertilizer mounting

Thinking about maybe getting an electric powered fertilizer spreader. How do or did you mount yours to your tractor. Front or rear mount.

I have been contemplating this for a while, but have never been able to come up with a satisfactory (and inexpensive enough) solution in my head.

I would want it to be on the back to spread salt in the winter if necessary.

I will be following this topic closely!

I was thinking maybe on the front so I could see what was happening. Northern tool has one for an ATV I think could be adapted. I don't think it has an agitator in the hopper to break up clods. That could be an issue.

After using a push broadcast spreader with plastic wheels for years, I decided to get an Agri-Fab 130 lb. tow-behind with pneumatic tires. The problem is that my 5xi's seating is too high and too much of a reach to use it. So I pull it behind my C-105 which is much better and I will say it is a nice unit. But it is still not ideal. I even checked into converting it to a push spreader (it shares a number of components) but too cost prohibitive. So then I saw the ATV-type.

I like the idea of a hang-on that would fit the 2" receiver hitch. I also like the idea of being able to spread sand in the winter with it. The problem with the affordable ones (not commercial and $$$) is that they have two controls. The motor for the agitator on/off issue isn't bad, but they also require a cable release for the spreader. It appears that you need to start the motor for the agitator and pull the release each time. If it had a solenoid that could pop the trap open and start the motor at the same time, it would be ideal.
