slantram 9 #1 Posted February 19, 2015 Looking at this setup. My question is are parts to repair the blower readily available? Such as bearings, shafts, steering cable and sprockets. And if the auger is bent at all can it be straightened? He's asking $850.00. Thanks, Slantram.

Sparky-(Admin) 21,254 #3 Posted February 19, 2015 That price seems a bit steep to me. A short chute blower is a $200-$250 attachment in good shape (and it sounds like that one might be needing some repairs going by your questions??). A "K" series 312-8 with no attachments is a $300-$400 machine. I would offer $650 and maybe come up to $700. Just my opinion. Mike.........

Forest Road 594 #9 Posted February 20, 2015 Then its a fair price Depends on the condition of the deck. Is it a good deck or a "blower" deck? Grass and rocks blows through this hole and that rusted out hole....
CraneOp1 2 #10 Posted February 24, 2015 I have the 312-8 1985 model in excellent shape came with 42" mulching deck, and 48" snow plow paid $500.00 two years ago. Just picked-up this last Saturday a model 79360 1993 model single stage snowthrower with tall chute in like new condition, not reworked or repainted paid $275.00 plus he gave me the tire chains as well. Looked at 1977 model snowthrower like in your pictures this last Thursday he was asking $295.00 and was missing the lift arm assembly and in some what ruff shape no sale. Hope this helps.
