botzitaliano 36 #1 Posted February 16, 2015 Ive been searching all morning apparently gor something that does not exist anymore apparently. Wheel horse manual says to use 2.6 quarts of HD SAE 10 oil for the hydraulics. But ive been to almost every auto parts store in town and no one carries it. I then called a reputable lawnmower repair shop and they said they no longer make it and they use HD SAE 30. Is that what you guys use??
bmsgaffer 2,043 #2 Posted February 16, 2015 What year/ model do you have? Pretty standard to use 10w-30 for most hydraulics. (Unless you have red fluid on your dipstick, then you use ATF). People seem to like mobile 1 synthetic especially in the cold.
botzitaliano 36 #3 Posted February 16, 2015 I have a 76 d250. When i take the cap off theres no dipstick. You just look straight into the reservoir. So you use regular 10w30 not HD 30?
