Part numbers for 310-8

Recommended Posts

Is there a resource available to look up the original part numbers for my tractor? It seems like every website I go to uses a different part number for the same part. I think it would be easier to cross reference new parts if I had the original part numbers from wheel horse. I'm looking for a choke cable and petcock and grommet for the fuel tank. The petcock is fairly straightforward but several websites list more than one choke cable.

What is the model number of your 310-8?

This may help for the cables.

Parts lists are shared by similar models but often fail to state what model uses what. An original parts list is usually very good. The make of the engine and single or twin cylinder makes a big difference.

I will get the model number this evening. It was bought in 85 or 86. It has a Kohler k241.

I had the same question too. My wheel horse was made in the early 90s. All the numbers I can find on it are 31-10K801, 310-8..

The tag on the mower was faded and unreadable. I took a picture of the information written in the owners manual. 0b61d44012f7352f3e61904d4f4da1a2.jpg

Your 1986 model number is 21-10K802

The serial number is 16586

The Julian build date is 5350 - 350th day of 1985

There are 2 cables listed as you already discovered

110712 has been discontinued (Used 1985-1988)

110713 is about $55 from Toro. (Used 1985-1986)

I can not determine what either cable fits. It will take a call to Toro or a Toro dealer to find out which one it is. For the price you may not be interested in doing that.

Perhaps you can use one of these and have enough change left over to purchase a tire.

Best I can do - Sorry

Thank you for your help. Most of the Toro ones I've found have been in the $40-50 range so that's about what I expected. I think I'd prefer to use genuine parts. Hopefully I'll get another 30 years out of it. If it was just me using it I'd consider leaving it off as they're very easy to work the choke by hand but this is my grandma's tractor.
