They are both very capable machines but I would be after the bigger HP one myself.

I would be partial to the sheet metal design of the C100 but the added power of the 416. Underneath the sheet metal there's really no difference in the frame, transmission, etc. Condition of them would mean a lot especially if you're looking for a buy and drive machine.

The c100 is pretty rough and the price is cheap, the 416-8 looks good say it has been partially restored and comes with a front blade. There is a 1000 difference in price

I have a 414-8 and I have done everything with it from mowing to tilling to plowing snow! Have bought brinly implements and a hitch for gardening this year. I collect the older ones but he 414-8 is a true worker and that M14 engine is bullet proof. you'll have to get other member opinions on the 16 HP engine in that particular machine.

WELCOME TO REDSQUARE !

I do agree with Craig though!

On the left, an '85 416-8. Of course this Horse is a Horse of course! Does all you want and more.

Stallion on the right is an '88 414-8 with the Magnum. All Horse but, don't know why, the 416-8 is my favorite when I need wo..........wo...........work done!

Welcome to the Horse "farm."    :flags-usa:

PS. 40 years ago, I did all you want to do with an 8 hp Horse! Neighbors watched me plow a garden with their jaws dropped. When they shoveled snow, they watched me push with the 8 hp Horse, their jaws dropped.

Mowed with a RD deck and towed a 4 ft sweeper. Had the best lookin' lawn in the neighborhood. The neighbors watched the wifey mowin' with grins on their faces.   :laughing-rofl:  :laughing-rofl:  :laughing-rofl:

I own a 416-8. A great, very capable machine. When you check find out how many hours to.
