Wheel Horse Collector 47 #1 Posted February 1, 2015 Ok so I bought this about a week ago. 1056 all original and RAN good. Now it don't. As far as I know it was sitting for a long time and the motor was locked when I bought it. I had that all fixed and it was running really good. Yesterday I was out in the snow with it and I got stuck. I gave her full throttle and all the sudden it blew a bunch of crap out of the muffler and developed a loud rattle and began smoking like none other. I don't know what it is. Does anybody have any suggestions??

oldredrider 2,553 #4 Posted February 1, 2015 The 1056 has a very shallow oil pan and if oil is low that can be VERY bad.
slammer302 2,156 #5 Posted February 1, 2015 This might sound silly but make sure the spark plug wire is still on good! It Happens believe me!!

Chances are that the rings and/or ring lands cracked when you got the engine broke loose. Some of the top edge of the piston and pieces of rings might be what came out the exhaust.
