Redisbest 22 #1 Posted January 23, 2015 What is the minimal thickness of clutch plate supposed to be (its about .060 from rivet face) rebuilding pto on 1975 B80 and need to know...thanks
Don1977 605 #2 Posted January 23, 2015 I don't think there is a minimal thickness, You just want to replace the clutch material before it gets down to the rivets. The rivet will ware grooves in the pulley. Note the older clutch disk the metal plate was thicker then the newer ones and will ware out the clips holding the sleeve if a newer clutch disk is installed. Redisbest 22 #3 Posted January 23, 2015 Don, do you mean if new material is put on old disc..or a complete new disc..im confused as thinner would seam opposite of what you mentioned...thanks
Don1977 605 #4 Posted January 23, 2015 I f you replace the lining on the old disk you won't have the problem. I bought a new disk for my C-120 and wore out a couple sets of clip before I found the problem. I added a thin spacer behind the disk to line up the metal disk with the groove in the spacer.

psalms83:18 174 #6 Posted February 13, 2015 Hey guys any possibility u have some pics about this "clip" or this issue??
Don1977 605 #7 Posted February 13, 2015 Don't have any pictures. The thickness of the new metal disk was thinner then the distance from rhe back of the sleeve to the groove on my C-120. This caused the C-clips holding the sleeve to ware out from the back side. I added a thin metal spacer behind the clutch disk to fix the problem.
