See, I'm not crazy. Bars on my monitor.

Ya see? Bars! Annoying as hell. Only started getting them 3 days or so ago. I'm

on IE and Wondows 7. Doesn't do it on any other site. Just here. They can be

high or low and they scroll with the page.

Butch,

I agree with James. Try using a different browser. I am currently using Chrome.

Have you tried rebooting your computer?

almost looks like spaces left when ad blockers or flash blockers are used in the browser - they can be site specific - are you logged into RS ?

nope - scratch that thought - on closer inspection, the avatars are compromised.

try a view zoom in / out  (Ctrl - or Ctrl+) while viewing a screen with bars.

If it just happened 3 days ago Butch you could try a reboot from a earlier restore point

Here is another try at a quick fix.

Go to "Control Panel". Next choose "Internet Options". Under the "General" tab under browsing history, click "delete" and check mark all the boxes listed then hit OK. (DON"T do this if you don't remember passwords to your favorite sites). You will need to login to all the sites that require one as this deletes the cookies that remember these things! Once you login to your favorite sites, it will remember your settings.

Your browser's cache may be corrupted and it is loading backgrounds using the cache to save time. (Just a hunch).

I would also try rebooting your modem and wireless router if you're using one.

Red I do but it's still annoying especially when you're scrolling through the page trying to read

a little as you go.

Van's RV-7A that I built.

Red

I was wondering if it was an RV. My best friend was killed in his RV-7 almost a year and a half ago. It was all over Vans Air Force. He was pretty well known. Tony Kelly. He was an air traffic controller. I had been helping Tony build his new RV8. I use to build air craft for awhile for Rockwell and Gulfstream so Tony wanted me for his rivet work. My wife and I miss him dearly. His RV8 is still being built by a friend of his. His wife is making sure it gets finished and then she talks about giving it away. When I saw that avatar of yours I thought it looked like an RV. Tony went from 6500 feet to the ground in 13 seconds. The NTSB isn't done yet but we think he pushed it too far. Tony was doing a lot of aerobatics with it and Tony was always a thrill seeker. When I told Amy, his wife, I could only imagine what went through his mind in those final 13 seconds. She said "the bastard probably had an adrenaline rush". He was a lot of fun.

Butch, did you bring Tony with you to the Wheel Horse show in 2010? I remember sitting around the campfire talking flying storys with you, Duke, and somebody else.

I remember reading about Tony on the Van's Airforce Forum. It is always sad to hear about things like that. The Van's planes are meant for light sport aerobatics and some people have pushed them past their limits and paid dearly. I did my last BFR's with an aerobatic instructor and did some benign stuff like loops and rolls. Never really pushed the plane very hard. I gave up flying several years ago and sold the plane. I'm into building classic style mahogany boats now. My hubby and I miss the flying a little, but have other things to entertain us. I sure don't miss the maintainence or the beauracracy.

No Bob, that was Duke. He has a pilots license or at least took flying lessons.
