ohiofarmer 3,379 #26 Posted June 4, 2017 Use a search engine like searchtempest to look up local Horses for sale. My kid lives in Ann Arbor, and I see a few up there and also northern Indiana should have a lot of buying opportunities. I am pretty sure that a vendor on this site has a yard of used horses in your general area. Look at prices now for comparative shopping, but figure that end of mowing season and winter is when they will sell for about a hundred less. 9unless the economy is so awesome that the price increases this season are permanent]--which I doubt. The best finds for me have been in farm country with nice mostly honest people to deal with My favorite ones to own are the old K-series cast iron block Kohlers, ten HP and up. They seem to be much less complicated than the later ones built in the Eighties and Nineties. I do have old and newer ones, but that is just my opinion with which there is certain to be disagreement Good luck on your new house!
