Forest Road 594 #1 Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) Had the family upstate for the weekend. 6" of ice and snow was already on the ground. Pretty solid 2' high plow banks around the house. It was an unwelcoming winter wonderland. When I bought the blower the PO told me it would throw 4" rocks. Well that's not to far off.... I broke up several plow banks with the loader and followed with the blower. It sounded like a refrigerator making crushed ice. Wasn't pretty but she got it done. Happy New Year everyone!!! shallowwatersailor 3,214 #3 Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) Looks like you had fun while we were 60+ degrees. Tomorrow we are forecast to get a dusting though. But the only dusting I have needed to care for so far this winter - I used a "Swifter" on the tractors! Edited January 5, 2015 by shallowwatersailor
Tankman 3,523 #4 Posted January 5, 2015 South of Allentown, PA. No snow here, must be above Rt. 78. Looks and "sounds" like the Horses had a grand workout.

Forest Road 594 #8 Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) Just a bit north of 78. This was in Indian Lake NY. Smack dab in the middle of NYs Adirondack State Park. NW of Albany 1.5 hours. We had another 4" Friday. They were calling for 12-18 Saturday not to sure if they got anything. Here's some better pics of the weight box. As you can see above I have 4 - 44lb suitcase weights hanging off the wings. The whole assembly sits in a Scotty Morreau 2" hitch. Forest Road 594 #9 Posted January 6, 2015 Here's a lil video. I started the blower in 12" snow plow ice bank which I'd cut through earlier. So it's probably half the width of the blower. All the while towing my 6 and 2.9 y/o boys. I was really proud of how well my oldest took care of the situation and helped lil bro. I think they rolled 4x that day. A dam fine day it was! https://vimeo.com/116033089
ericj 1,579 #10 Posted January 6, 2015 sounds like you could use a little more hp behind that blower, like 6 more on a 520, but it gets the job done eric j

Forest Road 594 #12 Posted January 6, 2015 sounds like you could use a little more hp behind that blower, like 6 more on a 520, but it gets the job done We don't want those 4 letter words in my barn. There's a bare k341 block on my workbench awaiting assembly. Reground cam and a few other goodies going into it. Should work a bit better than old reliable M-14.
