HOW TO ENTER THE MODEL NUMBER AT TORO

Recommended Posts

km3h

I have been trying to do some research on a tractor. Went to Toro site and entered the model and serial numbers but get a "wrong number." I assume I am not entering them correctly.

Model Number 5116OE02

Serial Number  2000289

What am I doing wrong?

For serial number enter "none".

Model # is 51-16OE02

This is a 1992 model so the serial number is required. For models 1990 and older the word "none" is used in most cases. If in doubt go here

https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro

Enter a model name (416-H) or model number (51-16OE02) and it will come up with the type of serial number they are looking for. Also count the digits in the serial as they are looking for one more digit than is on the product decal is some cases. Just throw in another 0 and it will work.

I just put in C-101 for model number,  that worked for me.

I am about to buy a 1972 charger 12 automatic. The model number tag shows the following:  MODEL  1  0400  6   SERIAL  750457. When I review model numbers for the year, it shows two: 1-0401 and 1-0402. What does the 1 0400 6 mean? Thanks for the help!
