motor12 367 #1 Posted December 11, 2014 A couple of days ago I noticed the head gasket weeping on my 854. I picked up a new gasket and installed it today. For the K181 the manual states torque to 15 to 20 ft lbs. I did that, then ran engine to warm up the head. Shut it down let it cool then re torqued to specs. Fordiesel69 271 #4 Posted December 14, 2014 A new gasket can require quite a few retorque sequences. Not in all cases, but it is best to check often and retorque if needed.
