:omg: First is there a restrictor plate on a D 250? Is it the 1/2" plate under the carb? will it hurt to take it off? :USA:

I don't know if there is a restrictor plate, if there is and you remove it, it will definietly be a violation in NASCAR when you bring the old 250 to one of the super speedway tracks...

Not exactly a restrictor plate but a carb spacer.

Now ifn's ya' really do want to fast with ths engine .... it can be done.

This Reanult engine was also used in the early 70's in the Reanult Alpine which is basicly a French sports car. Every thing from racing cylinder heads to fuel injection is avaible for this block configuration.

and maybe some 12.5 compression pistons and a 3 1/2 cam would make some serious h.p. but i want to it all stock just more h.p. so i can burn out in four gear not just 1-3 !!!!!!! :banghead:
