Is it just wrong to change a horse?

The great and good thing going for you here is you care. That being said, we can rest assured you will not be painting it JD green, or Cub Cadet yellow. That would be hideous.

The stickers or decals are no big deal. Make it every bit a C160 if that brings you joy. Then post some pics for us see!

MY FIRST HORSE CAME OFF ANOTHER TRUCK AT THE DUMP....

NEVER SAW A WHEEL HORSE BEFORE,,

JUST BIG BOX TRACTORS....

THAT WAS 5 YEARS AGO..

IT HAD A CRUSHED HOOD,,NO ENGINE..BAD REAR AND I DISCOVERED IT WAS A 401

I PUT IN AN 8 SPEED,,2 1/2 HORSE BRIGGS 23X10.50X12 TIRES AND PAINTED IT...

BRAND NEW HOOD FROM GUMSHOE,,8 SPEED FROM BILL JENKINS...

AFTER COMING TO THE BIG SHOW...I SAW WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE..

 I WONT CHANGE A THING...PERFECT..

ALL I HAVE TO DO NEW IS FIGURE OUT HOW TO POST PICS IN RED SQUARE

Yep I just couldn't bring myself to do it so a C-160 is on my Christmas list to Santa.

if you have an all original suburban or rj with original paint, I wouldn't touch it.

anything else is open for mods.

I think the unidrive trans is the heart and soul of the wheel horse tractor.  just about all of the early manufacturers shared the same kohler engines. the near indestructible design of the transmission is what made wheel horse legendary :twocents-02cents:
