857 horse 2,581 #27 Posted December 7, 2014 MY FIRST HORSE CAME OFF ANOTHER TRUCK AT THE DUMP.... NEVER SAW A WHEEL HORSE BEFORE,, JUST BIG BOX TRACTORS.... THAT WAS 5 YEARS AGO.. IT HAD A CRUSHED HOOD,,NO ENGINE..BAD REAR AND I DISCOVERED IT WAS A 401 I PUT IN AN 8 SPEED,,2 1/2 HORSE BRIGGS 23X10.50X12 TIRES AND PAINTED IT... BRAND NEW HOOD FROM GUMSHOE,,8 SPEED FROM BILL JENKINS... AFTER COMING TO THE BIG SHOW...I SAW WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE.. I WONT CHANGE A THING...PERFECT.. bean 85 #29 Posted December 8, 2014 if you have an all original suburban or rj with original paint, I wouldn't touch it. anything else is open for mods. I think the unidrive trans is the heart and soul of the wheel horse tractor. just about all of the early manufacturers shared the same kohler engines. the near indestructible design of the transmission is what made wheel horse legendary Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
