rmaynard 14,909 #2 Posted November 28, 2014 For more info on Lawn Rangers, take a look at this file: Wheel_Horse_Products_Master_Model_List.pdf Find all the Lawn Rangers. Then take those ID numbers and search the "manuals" section of this forum.

boovuc 1,090 #4 Posted November 28, 2014 Lawn Rangers were produced between 1962 and 1971. Horsepower ranged from 5 to 7 and were all Tecumsehs. If you look and Bob's pdf file above, you can see all the model years, motor numbers and trannys. Lawn Rangers were plentiful and more affordable than most Wheelhorse machines in their day so there are many out there in any condition you can imagine. If you go through the pictures here you'll see that many of the members have them.

Sean Keys 57 #8 Posted November 29, 2014 Lawn rangers aren't really hard to come by. I cant say this as a fact, but I think they are about the most common round hood. I used to have one, good machine. I wish I still had it!

squonk 38,965 #15 Posted November 30, 2014 Those mufflers are all over the map on price and quality. Napa # 7-03679 is the best price and quality I have found. Very well made. I have one on my Power King with a stack A lot of them I have seen at small engine shops were pieces of junk at the same price or more.
