Molaker 15 #1 Posted November 24, 2014 (edited) Is there a way to tell what amperage the alternator stator coil is without pulling the flywheel? I need a new regulator/rectifier and not sure what to get. The old one has no numbers on it. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,539 #2 Posted November 24, 2014 15 amp and the regulator back in the day was Wheel Horse part number 109313. There is a service bulletin that lists the engines used in the different models and many have the charging system identified along with the ignition switch used. Another way is to go to Kohler and get the illustrated parts lists for the spec number you have. The stator amperage is usually indicated there.
