pricing wheel horse tractors

is there any place that can tell me what wheel horse 's are worth.,i'm looking for one but the prices are all over the place. i'm looking at a 414-8 14hp with 42 deck and plow,he wants $900 i don't know if this is a good price :banghead:

:USA: You have asked a very loaded question, and one that has been addressed in many ways lately. Just look around at other posts, and you will gain some great wisdom. Also, before you buy, pay attention to what other members are paying (check out the post about the 312 for $50). To most guys here, it had better be pretty cherry to pay $900. Only you can decide what it is worth to you, but with enough information and patience, you can find the perfect tractor for the perfect price.

Back at the beginning of summer, I bought a 520 for $1000. While I have seen others for less, I have seen many more for much higher than that, so I am satisfied with my purchase. But, to be honest, if I had been more patient, I would have found a much better deal- a later model 520 for $300 (which I also bought- lesson learned). Patience can pay off.

thanks for your help i have been checking e bay and the tractors are mostly in pa. and some look very nice but it's about a 4 to 6 hr ride from ct . and the wheel horse tractor's here are all about in the 900 range with a deck that's not full of holes . i gess that's why they call it the gold coast , maybe i'll keep looking i have a good tractor but i would like to try a wheel horse. roadking
