Steve NW WI 39 #1 Posted November 16, 2014 Pretty sure you all are a bad influence. I just drove 150 miles on crappy roads to pick up some cheap mower decks that probably don't even fit my tractor. Question is, to adapt one to my B80, or just buy a tractor they fit??? [emoji3]
kudzu3 323 #2 Posted November 16, 2014 Sell the parts to someone who has a tractor they fit and start all over
Geno 1,928 #3 Posted November 16, 2014 I see a few gear drives there, they could be worth quite a bit if even for parts.
Racinbob 10,393 #4 Posted November 16, 2014 They could be made to work but I don't think it would be worth the effort. Maybe you could barter for a later model deck.
Tankman 3,515 #5 Posted November 16, 2014 Swap for a deck that'll work on your Horse. It is very important to keep decks dry, out of the wet when not in use.

Steve NW WI 39 #8 Posted November 17, 2014 Kinda what I was thinking. The price was reasonable, and I didn't want to see em go to scrap if they could be used. The two rounded, stamped decks look to be close to useable, the smaller square decks would need some metal work, or become parts donors. I'll get some better pics tomorrow when I toss em in the shed for winter. And don't worry, Tankman, they're plenty dry. There's no liquid moisture to be found around here lately. CasualObserver 3,406 #9 Posted November 17, 2014 Those must have been those ones on CL in the cities? Listed for great price, I just couldn't bring myself to drive all the way over there for just some more decks!
Steve NW WI 39 #10 Posted November 17, 2014 Those were them. I did find an awesome pizza place down there though. Mashed potato, gravy, and turkey pizza sounds weird but tastes oh so good on a cold day. The seller was a cool guy too, with a collection of old outboards and motorcycles.

Steve NW WI 39 #13 Posted November 19, 2014 And old motorcycles too... Luckily something I'm not afflicted with. My buddy that rode over there with me was drooling though. I got enough soft spots for old "junk" of varying shapes and sizes already.
