j4duncanr 1 #5 Posted November 16, 2014 I would appreciate that.then I can see where my mistakes are.my manual told me to use 3/8 by 2 inch bolts where the factory bolts where3/8 by 3/4.thats what I meant by mine being wrong.
cleat 4,997 #6 Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) I followed the installation steps in the owners manual except for the following modifications. Step 3 I used 1-1/4" bolts with a flat washer under the head of the bolt and under the nylock nut. Jack up front end of tractor to give more room to install front nut. Ensure bracket is as low as possible in the bolt holes when tightening. Step 10 lift assist spring not used with hydraulic lift. (Lift spring at front of tractor behind blower is used however). Step 12 use whatever hole works best for you. Step 13 I used a jack to raise blower instead of the procedure outlined in this step. Step 17 N/A in my case Step 24 I used the inner holes even with my 2 cyl engine. Note: Be sure to adjust antisway bar round block up against blower to reduce the blowers tendancy to sway in use. Lube chain and check tension Air up front tires to 20 PSI Lubricate chute Check gearbox oil levels Check auger shearbolts (5/16 x 3") Cleat Edited November 16, 2014 by cleat

Forest Road 594 #11 Posted November 19, 2014 I've had a 2 stage for a few years now. It's mounted on a hydro lift tractor. Haven't used the spring once. I'm not sure but I doubt many guys here use it. Just seems like a lot of aggravation to get it on. And I believe it's intended to assist the MANUAL LIFT tractors. Happy Snow Blowing! cleat 4,997 #12 Posted November 20, 2014 Front lift spring is really easy to install, just lift the lever, install the spring, and push the lever back down. With the spring on I can lift the blower from the front manually with one hand easily. This allows the blower to float on top of my gravel drive instead of digging in. j4duncanr 1 #14 Posted November 20, 2014 when I got the blower it was a ebay purchase.so it was somewhat completey put together.well they put the lift assist spring on where the big lift spring shoulda been and when I raised it up the right side was higher than the left.i kept lookin at cleats pics and realized the issues.i changed them today and now it raising almost even.but I still don't think its high enough.i have the left pin in the bottomleft hole.now.
