snowmoboyle 33 #1 Posted November 13, 2014 I have the enclosed cab for the 520 and blower set up - the roof has the metal area to mount a magnetic base safety light of some sort, but I would like to mount a few extra lights for my nighttime work. What options do I have and whats the best way to rig it up? budget is low - not looking to go all LED but if it is only option to save the power demands then might have to. I would like two facing front from the top of the cab, and one facing the rear. maybe all with flip switches much like a fighter jet arming their missiles, I would make cool sound effects while doing it I promise. bmsgaffer 2,052 #2 Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) You only have a 20 amp charging system to work with, and you still have to be able to charge the battery, so keep that in mind... And the less load you put on it the better, thats why most have been going with the LED's. (35W light bulbs are 3A each and 50W are 4.1A each. LED equivalents will probably around 1A depending on brightness and type of LEDs used) You can check around ebay for the Chinese knock offs. They wont win any awards for long lasting or brightest but they are the cheapest. If you search "snow chucker" you can see what Duke rigged up, he has a pretty decked out snow blowing setup.
