Theroundhousernr 590 #1 Posted November 8, 2014 I am gearing up the 416H with its new attachment I picked up not long ago. I used a C-125A last year for blowing duties. It worked great with weight and tire chains. My worry on the 416H is the plastic hydro cooling fan. My fear is how close the fan is to the tire. The C-125 has a cast in fan on the trans pulley so no worries there. My plan of attack is deflate the tires. Get them chains tight as can be and put heavy rubber bungee cords on the outside. Then pump them up again. Do you guys have any other tips you could give me? Thanks Kyle
squonk 42,767 #2 Posted November 8, 2014 How big are the tires.? I put 23 10.50 's on a C-125 with the Eaton. I ended up using Ford wheel spacers to shim the wheel out. I also replaced the wheel studs with 2 x 2 1/2 " 7/16" fine thread bolts. I threaded them in like car lugs and retained them with star lock washers and loc tite and used 70 Chevy Camaro lug nuts. rick 245 #3 Posted November 9, 2014 The PO of my 416H used tire chains, they were included in the sale. I threw them away since I had several sets of lightly used Campbell auto tire chains. I just cut them to length and ride. The fan on the right side wasn't damaged, but I think the broken tire chain had hooked the rear step support on the left side is bent down enough to throw the tin work out of alignment. I bought a 414-8 engine less roller for the parts to fix it. Just hook 'em tight and keep checking them.

rick 245 #5 Posted November 9, 2014 If the chains are good and tight, with no more the 1 link of slack hanging from the connector, you should be good to go. The way mine are, anyway.
Theroundhousernr 590 #6 Posted November 9, 2014 I usually zip tie the extra chain links tight. I hate when they are flopping around. I will try and mount the chains this weeks and see how the fit. Thanks for the tips.
