RealHorse_ct 5 #1 Posted November 4, 2014 Hey guys, ive got a 314-8 with 42sd and original set of tires and would like to swap out for maybe a 48sd but also want to add ag tires, I did some reading thru the pages and heard alot of rubbing concerns whether it be on the deck or gas tank. Has anyone ever tried this swap out of decks or even started with the 48 then added ag tirestires?.... I rather find out before I open my wallet to a potential hefty stance change to the pony
boovuc 1,090 #2 Posted November 4, 2014 I used a 48sd deck on my 520-H for years with a set of bar-lug 24x10.50x12's without any problems. For clearance in the REAR, there is no difference between the 520 and the 314. You just have to make sure you get the deck properly hung.
ericj 1,579 #3 Posted November 4, 2014 the only time clearance becomes an issue is when you put the 42" sd on a 520 or any tractor with the 8.5" rims. some of the 42" decks have the wheels set closer together and cause the deck wheels to rub the tires eric j
