wheelhorsekid 141 #1 Posted November 2, 2014 There us a 2-stage snowthrower attachment local, and the guy is asking $825. Does that seem high? Or about right? Thanks everyone!

ericj 1,579 #3 Posted November 2, 2014 i personally would not pay that, but i don't know if i would sell mine for much less either. i like mine so much that if i moved to Florida i think i would have to take it along just in case it snowed down there. so..... if you can afford it and it's what you want, you should buy it. with that being said it don't mean you can try and talk him down on price. good luck eric j p.s. it will really through the snow while hooked to a 520, like 60 foot under the right conditions
Forest Road 594 #4 Posted November 2, 2014 Just looked at it on CL. It's over priced. The bushings on end of auger need to be replaced. Bearing behind impeller is probably worn out along with the chain and sprockets. It needs an overhaul. Paint appears better than mine. Mine was in similar shape a few years ago. Between new parts, sand blasting and paint I probably spent $700+ above the purchase price. For daily use you cant beat a tall shoot single stage. And you can move a lot faster. Which means you're out of the weather faster as well. My blower gets used at a family vacation place in the Adirondacks. Primarily for moving those monster snow banks the plow guy leaves behind.
