forphase1 5 #1 Posted October 30, 2014 Hello all. I've got a 1979 c-141 that I umm...lost the gas cap. I ordered what I thought was the proper replacement on Amazon a 'Stens 125-112 Fuel Cap Replaces With Gauge Toro 106945 Simplicity 1704366SM 1704366', however the threads must be different as it won't screw on and stay on. Can anyone direct me to the proper part I need? Thanks. Sent from my GT-N8013 using Tapatalk

forphase1 5 #4 Posted October 30, 2014 Odd. I did have the right part number. Wonder why mine isn't working then. Sent from my GT-N8013 using Tapatalk
Marv 966 #5 Posted October 30, 2014 I had the same problem. I bought one off ebay that was supposed to replace the 106945 but it didn't fit the threads. Marvin

Irv 115 #7 Posted October 30, 2014 Are you sure the float part isn't too long and hitting the bottom of the tank?
forphase1 5 #8 Posted October 31, 2014 Pretty sure. I measured the tank and seem to have just enough room for it. It will try to tighten the go on at an angle and pop off. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
