ericj 1,576 #7 Posted October 29, 2014 ed isn't that the same tractor that sold down there last year for something like $3900.00. mark over at m & m mower service sold it last year. that tractor has been to the big show a couple of times. if it's not that tractor it sure looks like it eric j
Ed Kennell 35,904 #8 Posted October 29, 2014 I'm not sure what model that one was last year Eric. But that one had bent spindles under it. Maybe the front end was just redone. Do you think that 14 will turn that big blower ? I wouldn't mind trying that blower on my 520H
MalMac 1,328 #9 Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) My Experience is no that blower will tax that motor. If that blower has been on there all along there is a chance that motor is tired now. Unless the price stays low I would stay away from it. I am sure there are others that have different opinions. Also that is a manual lift. Unless you are very young and are into body building that thing is a boat anchor to lift. Even if it has a helper lift assist spring on it. Ed Kennell 35,904 #10 Posted October 29, 2014 I agree Mac, thats a lot of blower to crank with the 14. I really was surprised how easy the lift worked though, it probably only took 10 lb pull to lift it. The problem I see is the blower only raised about 4" total. Can't beat the HYDRO LIFT. Ed Kennell 35,904 #16 Posted October 29, 2014 Eric, you were right. Chuck, the auctioneer, said this is the one ho sold last year for over $3K. Someone did rebuild the front end. Last year the spindles were bent up so bad it had about 20 degree camber. I quit bidding @$1500.. .....It sold for $1600.
Theroundhousernr 589 #17 Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) Maybe the guy you where bidding against would have ran it up way past that if you kept going. Best to stop where you are comfortable. Sold at a great price though. Besides , its not better than a nice simple tall chute single stage and a 520H with cab you got sitting at home. Forest Road 594 #18 Posted October 30, 2014 I have a 314 w a 2 stage. It has just enough to pull through the tough spots reallllllly slow. I use it on the monster piles the plow guy leaves behind. The single stage is the way to go for a typical storm. And a 14 hp rips w a single stage.
