Geno 1,928 #1 Posted October 23, 2014 We found a forklift last night in Greenfield IN then ran an hour down to Richmond after that to pick up a 953 or 1054, whatever it is. I have all the guards and hood for the tractor along with the right wheels and tires, they're in the truck. The tractor owner also had a cool little dog to play with, my dad used to have one just like her. Can't come home without a of course. I think I will leave the forks alone, just clean them up as they are brass. Now I just have to figure out what should be red and what should be ivory on the soon to be forklift, any ideas?
Molon_Labe 731 #2 Posted October 23, 2014 Another nice haul Geno. I'd say that's a 953 there. Got one of those on the bucket list.

"D"- Man 827 #5 Posted October 23, 2014 Geno, that looks to be another nice find there. If I were to wager a guess, I would say you have a model 1054 or 1054A based on the fan gear steering, the headlights bracket and the seat frame. Looking forward to seeing a post of the "Wheel Horse" fork lift with its new coat of paint!

Geno 1,928 #8 Posted October 23, 2014 Thanks guys for the comments. The 953/1054's are definitely different and look nice fixed up. Been trying to rearrange and get some stuff on the racks today in between work. That work thing gets in my way a lot.

Ken B 3,116 #18 Posted October 24, 2014 Nice haul Geno, that piece of equipment is really going to make your life so much easier. When I see guys starting to put tractors on racks I always think that tractor is going to be up there forever if he doesn't have an easy way to get it back down... I would probably paint it red and black.. White will get real dirty on that piece of equipment. Geno, I know you know better but just a reminder all the same. Be real careful raising your tractors on that lift. We have a very similar lift here at work. One of the guys was using it and he went up too far and hit a sprinkler pipe. Needless to say that created a disaster for me too handle and the owners weren't too happy that thousands upon thousands of dollars of leather was now ruined because most of the water that came out of that pipe at first was black and nasty!
Geno 1,928 #19 Posted October 24, 2014 Good thing I don't have sprinklers. On the other hand some things in the shop could use some washing.
shallowwatersailor 3,213 #20 Posted October 24, 2014 Good thing the 5xi is over-capacity for that forklift.
Geno 1,928 #21 Posted October 24, 2014 How much does it weigh? I can do 2K lbs with the lift.
JC 1965 1,528 #22 Posted October 24, 2014 When you enter Ohio from Kentucky the sign says welcome to Ohio. We might have to change that to welcome to Ohio ( except Geno ).
