fretscha 0 #1 Posted October 13, 2008 How is it possible to lift and to let down the clevis hitch. Is there a chain? And how is it operated? Is it solid enough to lift off a plow ? regards Jens
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted October 13, 2008 The clevis hitch is raised by a cable that attaches to the implement lift arm at the front and a bellcrank under the fenders. The hitch is attached to the bellcrank with a short chain. The weight of the attachment lowers the hitch, and the cable /chain raises the hitch. If will lift a plow, rototiller, scraper blade, etc. with ease. Here's a link to a post with a drawing of the hitch assembly: http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=5785
