520 refurb

That's what your supposed to do. Who wants to drive around in a beat up jalopy when you could be cruising in a Cadillac. Few hours of work and that looks awesome. I'm with Ken!

Like I always say Jeff, pimpin ain't easy... I don't mind rusty (within reason) original RJ's and Suburbans with nice rusty patina (again, within reason!) but the newer tractors just don't age as well IMO. Especially once you start to get the peelin paint all over the tractor look... I have my neighbors often stop and say Wow! That is nice! But I have never had anyone stop and say Wow! That is a nice rusty tractor! :laughing-rolling:

Ken- I agree on these newer 300/400 and 500 series. The paint start to chip, peel and lift off. The same thing is happening on your old 520 but man that tract is strong. She may take on some snow duty this year.....

A great job, you did here. Terry's decals are the best.

Ken, great looking refurb there, ever think of holding a sunday school type deal for restoring these fine pieces of iron? Lol gotta love the attention to detail you put into your tractors....now about this wood hauler??....want to trade a couple of paper dollars for it...my trailer is beyond a refurb more like a re-invent lol

Before i turned the sulky into a wood hauler it looked like this... For the past 20 yrs. I have used it at the shows and as a Halloween hauler for Trick or Treatin. I wasn't looking forward to the day when my kids were too old to be riding on it. This yr. it was decided (not by me!) my second son Cole was old enough to Trick or Treat with his friends so that was that...

Great job restoring your tractors.  I wish I would have seen that 520 before you let it go.  Awesome job on the wagon.
