Recommended Posts

1988 310-8 has Magnuum 10 and I cannot find a oil drain plug to change oil. Do you remove oil sensor  to drain oil on this model? Thanks

Look at the deck tach a matic bracket of the right side of the tractor.  Directly above it will be the plug.  It will be kinda below the PTO on the base pan.

yep. fordiesel69 is right but i think its the left side (driver view). It should come out the base of the block and come straight out if i remember. Its right above the mid tach a matic and on the back of the engine. hope this helps

Well, before anyone responded, I stopped to get a shifter boot at a Toro dealer, and they pulled up the motor on their screen. The plug was supposed to be under the carburetor. Finally stopped raining, so I cut some grass and went to change oil. I just had a birthday this week and I didn't think I was senile yet, but there is the drain plug on the right side under the pulley. Feel pretty stupid today, thanks to Forddiesel and JustinW for responding.

To everyone who helped in this thread a great big Thank You!

Last night, my son dropped off his 310-8 that has a Magnum 10 for me to do
some preventative maintenance on. Without looking at the tractor, I looked this topic up
and the drain plug was right where it was described. I'm thinking about putting in a
short nipple along with a 90' elbow and plug so that the oil will drain straight down.
As usual, I'll charge him labor and the cost of materials in cold beer.
