RickF 8 #1 Posted October 19, 2014 I have a GT14, and I would like to change the direction of the hydraulic lift lever. As it's set now, when I push it forward, my plow lifts up, and when I pull it back towards me, it goes down. I would like to switch that around. I want the plow to raise when I pull the lever back. . . Can I do that by swaping the hoses that come from and return to the pump? Or can I swap the hoses to and from the lift cylinder? Does it matter? Will a switch like this work for me? Has anyone else done this? Thank You for your help. Rick
bmsgaffer 2,053 #2 Posted October 19, 2014 Swap the hoses on the lift valve (lever) that go to each side of the lift cylinder, you should be all set! Might want to get new o rings while your in there, but I will have to defer to the more experienced people on that front...
gsummers 236 #3 Posted October 19, 2014 Don`t have an answer for you on that but I have always wondered why the Hydraulic lever seems to be backwards on so many tractors, lift it up the attachment goes down, push down the attachment goes up, I have mowed many rocks doing that.
