nhunt308 143 #1 Posted October 14, 2014 OK had a thought about how I can make this little tractor capable of mowing at a little faster speed.. since I am redoing this lawn ranger and have re powered I have had to get new pulleys for the drive and the deck. So the question is do you think I can put a smaller size pulley on the motor shaft and get more blade speed on the deck? And if so would it make enough difference to be able to mow in at least 2nd gear ? Would the deck handle more speed? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Ed Kennell 35,949 #2 Posted October 14, 2014 I don't know if it is possible or if the deck bearings would take the increased RPM, but you will need a LARGER pulley on the motor shaft to increase the blade speed. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
