chipwitch 73 #1 Posted October 5, 2014 My C-125 is running "bottomless". Could use a new pan. What fender pans can I use? Were all C-series, across all years compatible? If it's just a matter of making holes in the pan, that I can handle.
Racinbob 11,919 #2 Posted October 5, 2014 Yes. The later C's will have cutouts for the gas tank under the seat.
chipwitch 73 #3 Posted October 5, 2014 But, they're all compatible? Most of the pictures I've seen, the forms are not the same. In fact the body styles look quite different. I saw one for a C-120 that looked like 4x8 square notch cut out of the front. Others don't have that.
Racinbob 11,919 #4 Posted October 5, 2014 They do look different. The black hood fenders often get replaced with the earlier C fenders because the plastic was prone to damage. But they bolt right on. I think you have the gas tank under the seat. You'll need the pan with a cutout or modify it.
chipwitch 73 #5 Posted October 5, 2014 Is the 520 considered a C-series?
Racinbob 11,919 #6 Posted October 5, 2014 Come to think of it, isn't your C-125 a black hood? That probably explains the missing pan. There are lots of pictures here where folks put a metal pan on them.

Still has the plastic between the seat and tractor... just the fenders have been cut away.
Racinbob 11,919 #8 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) Is the 520 considered a C-series? Not considered a C but really it is but the names have changed. I don't see a problem using a 520 pan on your 125. No mods for the tank. Edited October 5, 2014 by Racinbob
chipwitch 73 #9 Posted October 5, 2014 It was like that when I got it.
can whlvr 994 #10 Posted October 5, 2014 pretty sure any pan from 78 up would be a fit,the c,s,300-400-500 series
Racinbob 11,919 #11 Posted October 5, 2014 No gas tank mod with those. Earlier would fit with the mod. Mounting hoses may be different but you've got that covered too.
N3PUY 1,031 #12 Posted October 5, 2014 I put a 310-8 fender on my C125. It fit without problem. I've seen the large square hole that you mention. I had a 414-8 this spring and the transaxle had a 1" dip stick tube. The square hole in the fender pan made it easier to access the dipstick. If the dipstick tube is long then there is not a square hole. That's my hypothesis Joe
chipwitch 73 #13 Posted October 5, 2014 Great guys! Thanks! Just made an offer on a 310-8 pan on ebay! Gotta cover those new ags!
Martin 2,133 #14 Posted October 5, 2014 3,4,500 series pans in addition to the different shape over the wheels are wider overall than the c series 'tank' pans, which may help if you want to cover a wider set of wheels.
chipwitch 73 #15 Posted October 5, 2014 I wouldn't mind being a bit wider. The C-125 pan doesn't look like it completely covers the wheels anyway. Do the pans from the 3,4 and 500's protrude past the wheel? If only an inch or so, I wouldn't think that would look bad with the 8" wide stock rims? That's what I'm running.
