stratostar250 934 #1 Posted October 4, 2014 (edited) So, I'll make this one short and sweet. I found a 1967 1277! She's not pretty, but she's solid! Runs and drives great! I'll have to make a tie-rod adjustment though & I just wish the rear fender pan wasn't as bent up, but I think I found a new winter worker! OH MY was it wet and rainy getting it though. stevebo-(Moderator) 8,527 #2 Posted October 4, 2014 I have been watching that one on cl for a little while. Was it in Brookfield I think? Nice with the rear lift hitch.
AMC RULES 37,196 #3 Posted October 4, 2014 Another awesome score Tom. Agreed, them '67's are some cool tractors.
stratostar250 934 #4 Posted October 4, 2014 (edited) Thanks guys! and I found it in Bristol. Steve, you may have seen a different one if you were watching it for a while, because this one was put up two days ago. I think the rain makes it look nicer than it actually is, but the rear hitch is definitely a nice option! And yeah, Craig, they are pretty cool! I think I'll really grow to like it! Geno 1,929 #5 Posted October 4, 2014 Plow, chains, weights and lights, wow! Not too often you can unload them and go right to work.
stratostar250 934 #6 Posted October 4, 2014 Plow, chains, weights and lights, wow! Not too often you can unload them and go right to work. Surprisingly, this is the third one I've gotten that was ready to go with no alterations!
stratostar250 934 #7 Posted October 4, 2014 (edited) Just a few more pictures of the new (to me) I'll have to get a few pictures of what I got with it. The previous owner had made a rake that attaches to the bottom of the dozer blade to tear up ground, and also a home made rear weight bracket! Ken B 3,189 #8 Posted October 4, 2014 I saw that one as well and I myself was considering it. The price was RIGHT. The weights are worth what the guy was asking... Glad you got it!

stratostar250 934 #12 Posted October 5, 2014 Keeping the frog eyes Tom? I think so. One has a bad bulb that i'll have to fix, and I think they look better (to me at least) than just seeing holes in the side of the hood, so I think they are gonna stay. Retired Wrencher 5,770 #13 Posted October 5, 2014 Tom. Nice find. Get some old #7 compound buy DuPont and a cheap buffer at Harbor freight buff it out u will see the difference the paint is good enough to do this. I have the 1257 and it is my #1 tractor. I really like the sound of those old Starter/Gen starting up. So enjoy the ride and good luck with the 1277. Gary B.....
