Does it try to run better with a little choke?

Check the fuel filter and if there's a fine screen in the tank. Also make sure the fuel lines are good.

Fuel filter and fuel lines are new. I will have to check the little screen in the tank. When I give it a little choke it quits.

OK. Check that screen. When it does what yours is doing it's usually getting starved for fuel. Choking it reduces the air intake to fool it into thinking it's getting enough.

If you don't have a screen or it's clean check the fuel output from the fuel pump. If that's good I'd say it has to be in the carb. Did you just clean it or totally rebuild it making sure the float was set properly?

Bob, I think when he said "When I give it a little choke it quits." I think he means it stalls... That is how I read it at least?

Ahh yes Brandon. I read it again and I see how it could be interpreted that way. I was thinking it was like when you start running out of fuel 100 yards from the gas can and a little choke will get you a few feet closer. Brandon701, could you verify please?

If it quits running with choke you are over fueling
