520 fuel pump

Recommended Posts

fishingstararlake

my 520 has started to start hard. I took the gas line off after the fuel pump and the gas flows out of it but not a lot. shouldn't it pulse out of it? When working on a snowmobile's vacuum fuel pump the will shoot out up to 3 to 4 feet should I expect the same?

thanks

Dan

My 318-8 that I bought new in 1991 also needs a fuel pump. For my application the best price on a new Kohler replacement was from Pats Small Engine.

New fuel pump solved the starting problem on Kohler M12. The new pump had press on fittings and the Specs. Called for threaded fittings. But it worked well, only problem was having to purchase a large heavy duty snap-ring pliers for a large snap-ring used as a instillation tool.

Next project is a replacement exhaust system for the Kohler M12, the muffler is no longer available.
