Hydraulic Lift Control

Recommended Posts

Tankman

A friend is working on a Horse with hydraulic lift for the deck.

Poor Horse isn't runnin', yet.

He questions, "Should the lift control lever be movable without the engine runnin'?"

All of mine do from the 60's to the 85.  :)

Thanks Geno. That's what I thought.

Guess he'll have more grooming to do on his Stallion. The poor thing was left outdoors for a couple of years but, not in bad shape.

One thing at a time.

Can the valve be cleaned and reassembled. Your thoughts?

I would try the rust eater of your choice to see if it will free up and move.  If it frees up you can pull the shaft out a little (up position I think) and take a little emery cloth to it and see what it looks like without taking it apart.  If there's not a lot of pitting it should be ok.   :)
