Jman6 1 #1 Posted October 6, 2008 Ok, I went to NAPA to get a new air filter, they carry some stuff. The book called for a certain number of air filter, believe it was a 2733. Here is a pic of the one that is: My question is, will this make it starved for air, since it is so much smaller? Thanks, Jman
fordsonmajortom 1 #2 Posted October 6, 2008 The filter cover probobly wont fit properly and the air will leak around the filter, not cleaning it ,unless the one thats on there now is the wrong one.
jusjeepn 59 #3 Posted October 6, 2008 jman, Looks like the old filter has been crushed, possibly from being to large to begine with. does the new filter fit in the cover ok and seat against the base? If not, take the old filter to your parts store and they should be able to crossreference the old number or at least match it up. Pat
htopjimmy26 3 #4 Posted October 6, 2008 Jman that looks like a 16hp kohler air filter on the tractor and the filter you got at Napa is for a 14 hp kohler. My c141 has the short filter and the c161 has the tall one I think its Kohler #4508902, mines a little grimy. If in doubt use your engine spec number on Kohlers website and then cross #. :banghead:
