Recommended Posts

Thinking about putting chute rotator on the blower I just picked up.  What have you guys used?    Would a power window motor have enough torque ?

Power window motors work well for that application, that's what I use for my 2 stage chute.

Ed, that would be something to see! Duke has the motor on the deflector shield, but I have yet to see, anyone rig a motor for the rotation.

Yeah, Geno and Rob, I can't believe more guys have not added this mod to their tall chute.  It seems like such an easy mod. with the worm  and ring gears already there.

It's  just begging for  someone to add a sprocket, chain and motor.

Duke's first one had both rotation left/right and deflector up/down.  ====>

:thanks:  Jason, I just read Dukes blower build.  Gave me some good ideas. I am sure I don't have the patients or skills to build mine to that quality, but I'm sure I can make it functional.

BTW, do you know if Duke and Martin are related ??   :eusa-think:  They do some amazing work.
