Ed Kennell 42,237 #1 Posted August 26, 2014 Thinking about putting chute rotator on the blower I just picked up. What have you guys used? Would a power window motor have enough torque ?
wallfish 18,258 #2 Posted August 26, 2014 Power window motors work well for that application, that's what I use for my 2 stage chute.

Ed, that would be something to see! Duke has the motor on the deflector shield, but I have yet to see, anyone rig a motor for the rotation. Rob
Ed Kennell 42,237 #8 Posted August 27, 2014 Yeah, Geno and Rob, I can't believe more guys have not added this mod to their tall chute. It seems like such an easy mod. with the worm and ring gears already there. It's just begging for someone to add a sprocket, chain and motor.

Rob Duke's first one had both rotation left/right and deflector up/down. ====>

Ed Kennell 42,237 #12 Posted August 28, 2014 Jason, I just read Dukes blower build. Gave me some good ideas. I am sure I don't have the patients or skills to build mine to that quality, but I'm sure I can make it functional. BTW, do you know if Duke and Martin are related ?? They do some amazing work.
