squonk 38,988 #1 Posted August 17, 2014 I bought Ezra from the original owner last fall. I plan on putting the tall shoot blower on this winter. With the cooler temps we've been having it's gotten me to thinking about winter duty and getting the Horses ready. I wanted to upgrade the lights with Sylvaina Silver Stars and new reflectors. The lights on this tractor worked and this is what I found after removing the lens and bulbs. The grass DID NOT fall into the sockets! Here is a thread when I did the same upgrade to my C-160

AMC RULES 36,954 #7 Posted August 18, 2014 Won't you need spark to start a fire?
Racinbob 10,361 #8 Posted August 18, 2014 Oh geez!!!!! I must show restraint. All sorts of comments about sparks and fires are going through my head. I've got an A/C unit to fix today. I better get started on it so I get my remaining brain cells headed in another direction.
Zeek 2,284 #9 Posted August 18, 2014 What is the reflective material you put in the lenses? Is that from another headlight?
squonk 38,988 #10 Posted August 18, 2014 Reflector material is from some lights at work. I should bring a piece to the show and cut off chunks. See the link I left in the first post
AMC RULES 36,954 #11 Posted August 18, 2014 Two chunks over here please.
squonk 38,988 #12 Posted August 18, 2014 Pictures after the bulbs were installed. These were taken with the engine off. The last one was with the engine running and I took a heat reading on the lens. Topped out at 122 deg after 5 min of run time. I noticed the temp jumped to 135 deg when the engine was turned off from the exhaust heat and no fan to blow the air. I did another test after cool down I turned the lights on for 5 min with no engine and topped out at 115 deg.
