Buda 11 #1 Posted August 17, 2014 The Starter/Gen is one of the last parts I need to finish my 855. It has never charged for me, what voltage regulator do I need? Part #....I have looked around and can't find what I'm looking for. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Much Tom
Martin 2,133 #2 Posted August 17, 2014 (edited) i have got them from a seller on ebay and have been happy with them. you need to get a 4 terminal, the 4th terminal is on the bottom of the regulator for the armature, also the outside terminals of the 3 are angled out some. also the base needs to be curved. search ebay, there are 3 available from this seller "classicchrysler" 12 Volt Generator Voltage Regulator 1118266 1118306 1118791 1118983 For Delco Tom, is your starter generator ok, or does it need rebuilding? Buda 11 #3 Posted August 17, 2014 It very well could.....I did some check on it this past winter.....power to one spot and ground the other than move one or the other to a 3rd spot and it did what it was supposed to do. I wouldn't mind having someone rebuild it if you know of a reputable place in the area. Thanks Tom
Martin 2,133 #4 Posted August 17, 2014 don't know of anyone, but they are fairly easy to dismantle and clean. there are a few posts on the forum about this subject. if i had the time i would do it for you. I'm sure if you wanted to tackle it yourself, a few of us could walk you through it. the service manuals have instruction as well.....

Buda 11 #10 Posted August 18, 2014 Thanks Gary I'm sure that will come in handy.....Martin I'll start with the voltage reg and if that doesn't do it I guess its rebuild time. If thats the case I'll be asking for help I'm sure.
