I have a wheelhorse 616-z that I have had since I bought it new. its an awesome running lawnmower. The only downfall to it is it has always cut really low from day one and have the cut the grass every few days. I have the deck all the way up on the highest point. Does anyone have an recommendations on how to fix this? Do they make a bagger system? Also does anyone have any tips for this lawnmower on how to make it better? What deck is it? 38" side discharge, 42" rear discharge, 42" side discharge, 52" side discharge, They did have a bagger for the 38" and a vacuum bagger for the 42" SD deck. 546cowboy 302 #3 Posted July 16, 2014 I have had two 616Z's and a 612Z. They really are great mowing machines. The biggest draw back is the Eaton hydro's No one will fix one and if you can find one (?????????) they are about $800 each. The first one I got had one side out and it took me a year to find one and I had to buy a whole mower with a blown motor to get it. That did work out well for me though. I was bidding on one in PA which is 1200 miles from me. Luckily I had a friend going close by and picked it up for me. I made a deal with a guy in MD who was bidding against me, he needed the other side so we split the cost. I sold that to a preacher who came to get it in a mini van, you know not one of those van type either. I couldn't believe we got that mower in there and got the back lift gate closed. I think all the 616Z's had the 42" decks and the 612Z's had a 38" deck. Never saw a 52" deck on a 600 series. I think those were on the 700Z's Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
