Dealer said this came off a 1054 .... some kind of bucket attachment... anyone know what it is

trying to identify this bucket attachment.  The dealer i got it from says it came off a 1054

It looks like an old johnny bucket. But you're probably thinking like me that it didn't come off a 1054. At least not without some additional parts to make it work.

I just got my laugh for the day. This thread aroused my curiosity about the idea of getting a johnny bucket. I did a search to see what was available and ran across a youtube video. This guy put one on his JD L120 along with some rear weights. Now, I'm talking a L120, a big box lawn mower and not a real John Deere. In a moment of total insanity I bought one of those when we moved here. I was quick to give it to my son in law when I found my Wheel Horse. I was also quick to tag it a Junk Deere. I think that guy is going to be upset with he finds out how long that thing will hold up to that kind of use.
