I picked this up this weekend for 75.00 at our machinery club sale, it starts and runs, great tires and doesnt look to bad, not original motor, has a recoil start 6 hp b/s i think, were these made by David Bradley for Sears ? any value to this tractor? im thinking of shoving a 10 hp b/s i have on it for doing chores around here, any offers ? LOL

Only problem is its a weak set up, it mounts on the front axle, and while i tried plowing some mulch around the axle flexes alot, gotta think of a better mounting system without over engineering,

TT

That's a Tecumseh engine, Tom. Probably an HH-60 - and original for that tractor. (it would have Sears numbers on the tag though)

Before you toss it in favor of the Briggs, give it a try. I had a similar Sears a few years ago and it did an excellent job with the 6hp engine. :banghead:
