no spark in my rj-35

i cleaned the coil, magneto, and points and still nothing. anybody know where i can find parts for it?   thanks!

welcome to rs, are the magnets in the flywheel plenty strong? can't remember those engine's having a seperate coil, are the point's just cleanend? or did you adjust em to the proper settings.

the magnets in the flywheel are very strong. the coil has a wire that goes down to the condensor or something. and i only cleaned the points. didnt wanna go messing with them without knowing the specs.

i don't believe they were, i think original engine would be a clinton, not sure tho. experts will chime in i think

I have 4 of these 35's and know a little about them. From my understanding in 57 you could have one with a kohler k90, clinton 1200 and I believe they offered a briggs but now sure what model.

Straight from the Horses Mouth lists '55-'56 RJ-25's as having B&S model 8's rated at 2.5 hp.

Briggs models were only offered in 55 and 56... which was a Briggs Model 8 as Craig has stated.

 

Steve is on point with the engines offered in 57... you may also even see a Clinton A1200 on a 57 RJ35
